Casa de Ensueño in Sayulita is a thoughtfully designed collection of vacation rentals located just south of Sayulita’s village square, set on a quiet hillside in picturesque Sayulita, Mexico., set on a quiet hillside in picturesque Sayulita, Mexico. The property includes six one-bedroom casitas and a spacious two-bedroom penthouse, offering flexible options for couples, friends, families, and longer stays.
Each unit at Casa de Ensueño is tastefully furnished and fully equipped to provide a comfortable, easy stay. All casitas and the penthouse feature private patios with ocean and village views, creating inviting outdoor spaces for dining, relaxing, and enjoying Sayulita’s warm climate. The grounds are secure, enclosed, and professionally landscaped, and every unit has its own separate entrance from the central courtyard, allowing for privacy throughout the property.
Casa de Ensueño reflects the craftsmanship of local Mexican artisans across its design. Stone walkways wind through the property and around the shared pool, connecting each unit. Inside, the bathrooms feature hand-painted sinks and colorful tilework in spacious walk-in showers, adding warmth, character, and a sense of place.
The interiors are designed for comfort and functionality. Most casitas include a seven-foot built-in sofa, dining table and chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen suitable for everyday cooking. Sleeping areas typically feature king-size beds (configuration varies by unit), along with air conditioning and built-in safes. Select casitas offer adjoining patios that can be unlocked, making the property especially well-suited for families or groups traveling together while still enjoying independent spaces.
Casa de Ensueño is located on Calle Naranjito (Street of Little Oranges), a quiet, dead-end street in a friendly, safe neighborhood. The beach and Sayulita’s village square are approximately an eight-minute walk away. Set slightly above the street, the property enjoys elevated views, tropical surroundings, and a peaceful atmosphere while remaining close to town.

The property itself has that authentic, classic rustic Mexican charm. The patios are amazing, the ocean views are beautiful, and everything was very clean thanks to Bella, who does a fantastic job taking care of the property.
Jose, who greets you when you arrive, is incredibly kind, helpful, and available for anything you might need during your stay. Kathy, the owner/manager, is also very accommodating, informative, and responsive if you need anything at all. They can help arrange transportation to and from the airport and also help you get a golf cart, which I highly recommend.
Sayulita is very walkable, but having a golf cart makes it much easier to haul beach gear or explore different parts of town.
During our stay we actually stayed in two different units: Casita 5 and the Penthouse. Both have incredible views and great patios.
Casita 5 is very private and a nice size with a queen bed. It also has an additional set of stairs leading to a private patio at the highest point of the property with a BBQ and chairs, which was a great spot to relax.
The Penthouse is very spacious. We stayed there with just our 10-month-old and had plenty of room. It has a king bed, a large living area, and a great patio. There is also a second private suite on the opposite side of the unit, which would make it perfect for two couples, family, or friends traveling together.
The patios have comfortable lounge chairs and we definitely took advantage of them. The kitchen is also fully equipped and spacious.
The location is perfect. It’s just far enough from downtown that you don’t get much of the town noise, but you can still hear the ocean and enjoy how peaceful it is. The property is accessed through a private gated entrance with a code, which feels very secure.
We’ve been traveling to Sayulita for about 15 years and have always felt safe. The staff and the locals in Sayulita are gems and have always treated us incredibly well.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay with great views and a team that takes care of you from the start of your trip to the end, you won’t be disappointed.
Casa Ensueno is quiet and peaceful away from the noise of the town but close enough to walk there.
The outdoor space is immaculately kept up from Jose who is always willing to answer any questions or help where he can.
Inside the space is beautiful and spacious. Bella was friendly and quick to offer anything we needed such as fresh towels and always had the place very clean.. We stayed in #3 for a week which had a great view and patio. We moved to #5 for the next week and this had even more privacy and a great view.
The only problem was that we did not want to leave.
When we left we forgot money in our safe and the staff notified Kim and Kathy right away and the money was returned to us.
We will definitely be back again to Casa Ensueno!!!
